The Microsoft Excel UPPER, LOWER and PROPER functions converts capital and lower-case letters to each other in the way we need. UPPER function capitalizes all the letters in a word and LOWER function do exactly opposite of UPPER and converts all the letters in a word to lower-case. The PROPER function capitalizes all the first letters in each word and converts rest of the letters to lower-case.
These functions is categorized as a String/Text Functions. they can be used as a worksheet function (WS) in Excel. As a worksheet function, these functions can be entered as part of a formula in a cell of a worksheet.
